Kite buggying - boarding: Les Hemmes
Wind Direction: W-SW
Wind Stength: 15-35mph
Surf / Sea State:
Air Temperature: 8
Sea Temperature:
Weather: Cloudy and rainy
Max Speed: 46.5mph (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 52.5 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

This was the first trip in the van. Headed down the M20 to see the smoke rising straight up at the paper factory at 6:30am, looked like it would be a windless day. Windguru had predicted this and had stated wind would build rapidly diuring the day so we had faith.
Arrived in France, spent a while finding a new car park without a height restriction barrier, ended up at the place the landyachts start from. It still looked very light so built the buggies slowly. Hit the beach with the
5.5m, wind was cross-off shore, had 1 very out of control run way overpowered, stopped and changed down to 2.8m, this was spot on for the next few hours. We cut upwind to the hardest sand and clocked up a new high speed of 46.5mph, had many other very fast runs. Wind was building and the 2.8m was getting a bit much. Stopped for lunch around 1pm, after lunch started
off on 2.2m despite the Germans who were coming in saying they were fully powered on 1.7m's. Had a few very overpowered runs in the now strong and
gusty conditions, decided pretty soon that I should change down for safetys sake, got the 1.4m out and had some underpowered runs, I was properly
powered in the gusts but having to work it a lot in the lulls. Beefy was too scared to fly his 1.7m despite seeing me having to work the 1.4m to get
going, I gave him a bit of a tow around before he decided he would head in out of the now quite heavy rain. I carried on but it wasn't very pleasant
and it was very gusty, eventually I packed it in. It was a good day, shame about the rain towards the end. Headed home via the hypermarket as per usual.
